The Different Styles of New Era

New Era are perhaps the best known hat company in the world.  They make the hats that baseball players wear during Major League Baseball games.  You may not know the name New Era, but you will see people around the world wearing baseball caps australia with NY, LA or SF on the hat and that is almost certainly a New Era cap.  They may be most famous for the hat they make for Major League Baseball, the 59FIFTY, but there are a number of different styles that provide a different look and fit.  We will try and provide a quick description of all the different styles and why you might prefer one to the other.

The 59FIFTY – fitted cap

The 59FIFTY is the hat New Era is famous for.  It is a fitted cap coming in many sizes for a perfect fit.  The is roughly a centimetre difference between each size so you really should measure your head before you buy a 59FIFTY style.  The crown of the hat has what is called a constructed crown.  A constructed crown simply means that New Era have reinforced the front panels of the new era caps australia for a more rigid feel so the 59FIFTY keeps its shape.  The brim of the hat comes out flat.  You can curve the brim over time and get a different look, but more and more people are keeping the brim flat through out the life of the cap for a unique look that the 59FIFTY is famous for

The 9FIFTY snapback cap

The 9FIFTY is a snapback cap which has become very popular in the last few years.  The 9FIFTY uses the same structured crown and flat brim that the 59FIFTY uses, but the 9FIFTY has an adjustable backing.  This means that the 9FIFTY usually only comes in 1 or 2 sizes and fits almost any head.  Because of this easy fitting the 9FIFTY makes new era snapbacks Australia a great present.  Also perfect for a growing child.  You won’t have to replace your favourite hat each year, you can simply loosen the snap at the back of the hat to get the right fit.
